Field Notes · Vol. 130 June 2026

Observations from the Field

15th October 1889. Anthurium plowmanii is distinguished by its extremely ruffled, undulated leaf margins. The leaves are incredibly leathery, resembling thick parchment. It stands up to dry air better than most in this genus, which is a blessing in the drafty glasshouses of England. The market is stable, with healthy specimens priced moderately.
