Alocasia wallichii is a rare jewel Alocasia species native to the humid forests of Northeast India and neighboring regions. It is highly valued for its striking, deep-colored foliage. The sagittate leaves feature a matte, velvety dark olive-green to blackish upper surface with extremely prominent, raised silver-white primary veins. The undersides of the leaves are a rich, glossy deep purple-maroon, supported by slender green petioles.
