The variegated form of Alocasia tandurusa — often traded as 'Variegated Jacklyn' — carries bold yellow or white sectoral splashes across the species' deeply lobed, staghorn-shaped leaves, with sharp, irregular boundaries between variegated and green tissue. The dramatic leaf silhouette of the base species is already distinctive; the variegation adds a further layer of collector appeal that has pushed this form well beyond the price of the plain green tandurusa. As a chimeric sport, expression varies from cutting to cutting and heavily variegated growth carries reduced chlorophyll, so strong consistent light matters more than usual.
