Alocasia reginae is a dwarf jewel Alocasia species endemic to Borneo, typically found growing on limestone-rich forest floors. It is highly admired for its thick, leathery, and stiff cordate leaves. The upper surface of the leaves displays a unique dull, matte dark blue-grey color with deeply set primary veins. Underneath, the leaves are a striking, solid deep maroon-burgundy, providing a spectacular contrast when viewed from different angles.
