Alocasia korthalsii is a beautiful jewel Alocasia species endemic to Borneo. It grows in shaded, humid rainforest floors, often on leaf litter over rocky soil. It is admired for its arrow-shaped (sagittate-cordate) foliage. The leaves have a velvety, matte dark forest-green upper surface highlighted by stark, contrasting light silver-green primary veins. The undersides of the leaves are a deep maroon-red, offering a rich botanical texture.
